How the flip is decided

A coinflip on TF2Royal is not a 50/50 unless both stakes are equal. Each player's chance is their contribution as a share of the total pot — stake 60% of the value and you hold 60% of the tickets. That is what allows two players to flip against each other without having to match values exactly.

The winning ticket is drawn before either side sees the animation, and the result cannot be re-drawn. Every finished flip carries a Verify button linking to the Random.org record behind it.

Items or coins

Create a game with items from your inventory, or switch the deposit type to Balance and stake coins instead. Coins-only games are much faster because no Steam trade offer has to be sent or accepted — the whole game settles on the site in seconds. Item games are worth it when you want to put a specific item on the line rather than its value.

When nobody joins

An open flip sits in the lobby until somebody joins it. If it is taking too long you have two options: call a bot, which matches your value and joins immediately, or cancel the game and take your stake back untouched. A cancelled game costs nothing — the service fee only ever comes out of winnings, never out of a returned stake.

The fee

Coinflip takes a 8% service fee from the winnings. If you flip 100 coins against 100 coins and win, you are paid the pot less that fee on the portion you did not stake yourself. Losing a flip costs you exactly what you staked and nothing more.
